UFC 249 Betting Odds and Predictions
UFC warriors, Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje, are set to put on an harrowing display of grit, determination, and sheer power of will inside a cage on Saturday night. We have compiled the betting odds and even have a predictions for UFC 249.
The veteran MMA fighters are scheduled to collide for the UFC Interim Lightweight Championship at UFC 249, on May 9, 2020, in Jacksonville, Florida.
UFC 249 will be the first UFC event in almost two months. The main card is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. ET from VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Sunshine State.
Fans will not be in attendance at UFC 249 due to the world-wide COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, so the stadium will be mostly empty save for the fighters, their teams, officials, and hopefully the UFC Ring Girls. I haven’t checked the odds on Brittany or Arianny or Brookliyn making it octagon side, but if there is one thing that I have learned about myself during the pandemic lock down it’s that I’m still optimistic.
Riding in on a 12-fight winning streak. Ferguson is a -190 favorite (risk $190 to win $100), while Gaethje is a +160 underdog in the latest UFC 249 odds. In the co-main event, champion Henry Cejudo (-220) is the favorite as he defends the bantamweight crown against underdog and former champion, Dominick Cruz (+180).
This is going to be a war.

Prediction
Usually, I will make very specific predictions about how a find will end, including the round and the manner in which the fight will end or be finished. This fight is no different.
I think that Tony is just a little bit quicker than Justin. But I think Tony made a big mistake by cutting weight two weeks ago. I also think that Tony’s striking is just a little bit slicker than Justin’s. But I just think Justin is going to come in to the fight in better shape.
I’m afraid it is not going to be a pretty night for either fighter. I am anticipating a back and forth brawl. It will be bloody.
I think that Justin will find the point of Tony’s chin with a stepback right cross. Ferguson will falter. And Ferguson will stumble. Tony Ferguson, as much as Joe Rogan likes him, is going to taste dirty sour taste of defeat. Justin Gaethje will become the UFC Lightweight Champion on Saturday night in Jacksonville, Florida, by stopping a tough and game Tony Ferguson in the fifth round via TKO.
